Gaming Agent

Summary of Position: The primary function of the Gaming Agent is to be the on-site Gaming Commission representative at the gaming facilities, to investigate policy and procedure violations, and ensure gaming devices, table/card games, and programmable storage media are in compliance with applicable regulations. The Gaming Commission goals of ensuring the safeguarding of casino assets, protecting the integrity of the gaming activities, and the reputation of the Tribe are also primary functions of the Gaming Agent.

Job Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Remain highly visible in the gaming facilities;
  • Assist in the review and approval of casino promotions to ensure a fair a legal game is offered;
  • Observe and be present during but not limited to the following: Gaming device deliveries and activities;
    • Opening and closing of games;
    • Promotions; and
    • Tournaments
  • Review of Authorization of Medical Need requests submitted by the casinos, as needed;
  • Assist in investigations and interviews that are conducted within CNE Departments;
  • Review Surveillance Procedure Violation Reports (PVR’s), perform investigations into policy violations as needed and notify casino management of PVR’s;
  • Report any suspicious transactions or activities to the Compliance Specialist and Surveillance Department for recording and observation;
  • Utilize checklists as a tool to carry out investigative duties;
  • Assist in compliance findings through various Enforcement Actions, including but not limited to the following:
    • Notice of Concern (NOC);
    • Notice of Non Compliance (NONC);
    • Potential Notice of Violation (PNOV);
    • Notice of Violation (NOV).
  • Assist in updating all tracking sheets;
  • Assist in writing Investigative Summary Reports;
  • Assist in preparing Enforcement Action supporting documentation including but not limited to appeal hearing documentation;
  • Assist with audits as needed;
  • Verify and review information on all gaming forms submitted to the Compliance Department;
  • Process gaming device Request for Waivers for work to be performed in extenuating circumstances;
  • Assist with CNGC IT to test and verify game servers;
  • Assist in the review of casino System Failure Notifications and investigate discrepancies if applicable;
  • Assist IT with vendor remote access audit including but not limited to approved users, unrestricted access, complete logs;
  • Assist in ensuring casino Slot Management System procedures are followed for all new and upgraded systems;
  • Assist in the certification of Class II an Class III (Compact) gaming devices;
  • Verify Class II and Class III (Compact) gaming machines for jackpots according to the CNGC Jackpot Notification policy;
  • Assist the Internal and External Auditors for programmable storage media audits;
  • Assist in casino adherence to the CNGC Table & Card Game policy by observing gaming cards, chips, and table felts received, as well as the destruction and accountability procedures;
  • Assist in the annual gaming machine programmable storage media verification by sampling at least 10% of the machines physically present on the floor of each Comanche Nation Entertainment Facility;
  • Review and verify CNGC programmable storage media for gaming devices which contain the following:
    • Signature verification logs;
    • PAR sheets;
    • Lab letters;
    • Machine verification sheets;
    • Annual testing logs;
    • Jackpot verification logs; and
    • Other associated gaming device documents.
  • Assist in the enforcement of the vendor shipping guidelines;
  • Review and verify casino floor layouts;
  • Assist in the destruction of programmable storage media when applicable;
  • Assist in audits performed on casino gaming machine and table game statistical reports;
  • Assist in the audit of casino gaming machine Bill & Ticket testing result;
  • Provide assistance to vendors as needed via telephone, email, and in-person;
  • Update the CNGC Gaming Machine Shut Down log, as needed;
  • Forward gaming machine install and removal forms to the Compliance Specialist for review and to be sent to the CNGC Licensing Department;
  • Assist in reviewing and providing comments to the CNGC Technical Standards as new technology emerges;
  • Communicate gaming machine compliance issues to the Compliance Specialist;
  • Any other duties as directed by the Compliance Specialist, Compliance Officer, or Director of Compliance. Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Working knowledge of Comanche Nation Gaming Ordinance, NIGC regulations, and Oklahoma TribalState Compact.
  • Consideration will be given to an equivalent, relevant combination of education/experience in the compliance industry, investigations or accounting field. Casino experience is an asset.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older. • Well-developed oral and written communications skills required.
  • Must have excellent computer skills including word, excel, and experience with varying databases.
  • Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate fairness in all decisions. •
  • Valid Driver’s License and be insurable on company’s policy.
