Seawall Café
The Cook reports to the Manager of the Seawall Café for the preparations of food and beverages at the Cafe and routine cleaning. Requires a high school education or its equivalent. Some knowledge of methods used in quantity food preparation and cooking; in the use and care of food service equipment and appliances. Hours to work are 6 am to 3 pm Monday thru Friday and some Saturdays and Sundays maybe required. Must be able to work flexible hours as needed. Knowledge of methods used in quantity food preparation and cooking; in the use and care of food service equipment and appliances. Skill in the routine preparation and cooking of basic foods is preferred. Ability to read and understand, or to listen to and act upon written and oral instructions; to standardize food recipes correctly; to accept direction and supervision, must be able to establish and maintain effective work relationships. Working knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in janitorial work. Must maintain a Food Handler Certification and follow all procedures to pass health inspections. A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is preferred. To assist with grocery list as needed and purchase necessary supplies at local stores. Restock items in proper placement upon arrival from store.
Salary: $29,120, Plus Excellent Benefits
