Cashier

Organic West African cafe looking for cashier, counter person. Ideal candidate has a fun energetic personality with excellent social/interpersonal skills and basic skills. 

• Must be able to excel in a fast paced environment 
• Basic computer / touch screen / keyboard skills required
• Perform cleaning duties to keep equipment and facilities sanitary
• Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
• Request and record customer orders using POS register
• Serve food, beverages, or desserts to customers
• Prepare daily food items, and cook simple foods and beverages, such as sandwiches, salads, soups, pizza, using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures.
• Clean and organize eating, service, and kitchen areas.
• Monitor and order supplies or food items, and restock as necessary to maintain inventory.
• Brew tea, and fill containers with requested beverages
• Collect and return dirty dishes to the kitchen for washing.
• Wash dishes, glassware, and silverware after meals
• Set up dining areas for meals, and clear them following meals.
• Desire to learn and excel in a unique setting for casual/fine cuisine

Minimum qualifications:

• Experience as cashier and customer service.
• English speaking skills, able to read basic English on the menu.

Schedule 1:

• Shifts vary based on availability
• 30-40 hrs a week

Benefits: $20 per hr to start plus tip and meals
