Bartender/Server Positions

On Deck Bar and Grill located inside The Club at Henderson Beach Resort is looking for full-time or part-time Bartenders/Servers to work our poolside bar. 

Higher than normal Bartender/Server pay: $12-$14 per hour Plus Tips, Depends on Experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each client and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and having them removed
• Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
• Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the night and be able to account for any and all discrepancies in the final drawer tally
• Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
• Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the customers at the bar and around the pool satisfied at all times
• Greet and serve guest promptly
• Take orders and serve food and beverages to guest
• Answer questions about menu items
• Accurately take customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
• Facilitate filling drink orders with the bar
• Gracefully suggest/upsell additional menu items, such as desserts and drinks
• Offer special assistance to patrons with specific needs
• Memorize the menu for on-demand recitation and questions about ingredients
• Operate the drink fountain
• Use the POS system to accurately calculate the patron's bill
• Sidework, such as help set up umbrellas, hand out towels, clean up pool area before leaving, and set up /clean up bar area before leaving
• Closeout all checks at the end of every shift

Requirements

• Must be knowledgeable on mixing drinks
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic math skills
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Familiarity with restaurant POS software a plus
• Ability to thrive in an active, noisy, and demanding environment
• Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required
